Called by God’s grace to preach the Word, make disciples for Christ, and build the Kingdom of God.

Sundays 10 am

Launching August 9, 2026

Why plant a church?

  1. Jesus commissioned his followers to “make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:18).

  2. Apostle Paul planted churches in strategic cities so the “Word of God spread throughout the whole region” (Acts 13:49).

  3. Church plants are effective in reaching unchurched people. Research shows that 60-80% of church plant members were not previously worshiping with a church.

  4. Church plants are effective in reaching new generations, new residents, and new church leaders. A church plant forms a new spiritual community to combat loneliness.

  5. The Twins Cities has a population of 3,500,000 and only has around 3500 churches. More Christ-centered churches will lead to gospel saturation of our city.

Meet the church planter

Eli Groenendyk is happily married to his wife, Hannah, and is joyfully raising his daughter Blakely and his son Reuben. Eli has 13 years of experience in pastoral ministry, serving churches in Okoboji, Chicago, and Edina. He has preached sermons, facilitated Bible studies, led service projects, organized mission trips, officiated weddings and funerals, started evangelism teams, led youth groups, and has served on various church committees and community boards. Eli earned his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is ordained as a Minister of the Word in the Christian Reformed Church.

Preach the Word

Hear a sermon by Pastor Eli titled “The Church” from Acts 20:17-38. Eli believes the goal of preaching is to unpack the meaning of the Scriptures - strengthening our trust in Christ as we grow in God’s glorious grace. Eli utilizes a balance of theological truth and practical application to everyday life.
